Professional Training
Basic Training in the Theory and Practice of Ear Acupuncture Therapy
1. Global Schedule
The Global Schedule provides the basis for teaching the theoretical background and skills in order to practice ear acupuncture as approved by the Work Group (Arbeitsgemeinschaft).
It has been compiled on behalf of the Department of Ear Acupuncture within the Work Group.
The Global Schedule establishes and defines the quality of training as prescribed by the Work Group in order to administer therapy, and it describes minimum requirements for basic obligatory training.
Authorised teachers of the Ear Acupuncture Work Group are required to implement Global Schedule specifications.

1. Organisation of Training
Training at the Department of Ear Acupuncture evolves independently or within the Training Centres of the TCM Work Group (Arbeitsgemeinschaft) encompassing 70 tuition-based lessons. Only authorised teachers will be assigned for teaching within the schools and in the Department.
Quality control and organisation of training in ear acupuncture is managed by the Department of Ear Acupuncture who cooperates with the training centres, study groups and other organisations for this purpose.
This training has been designed for medical doctors, healing professionals and students of the training centres. Training is administered on a part-time basis on three weekends and consists of the following course levels: -
- - Basics (Level A)
- - Proficiency (Level B) and
- - Practical Applications (Level C)
Based upon successful participation in all courses, participants will receive a certificate from the Work Group (Arbeitsgemeinschaft) confirming acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the administration of ear acupuncture.
